PERSONALITY

- General happiness (1-10): 4 – Lanth is deeply depressed and jaded individual, largely due to both her childhood trauma of watching her homeworld being destroyed by the Empire, and all the a harsh realities of war that she witness first hand as a solider. However, ever since she reconnected with her younger sister and gotten into a relationship with her squad’s XO, her mental state has greatly improved  

- Social level (1-10): 7 – As an officer in the Republic military, Lanth always tries to be as good a representative for her country as possible by being formal and professional when dealing with others. She respects the chain of command and will follow her orders loyally except under extreme circumstances. As a commander, she cares deeply about the welfare of those serving under her and exhibits it constantly. Raw recruits to will be treated with respect and made to feel as valued as her fellow senior officers.

- 1 Optimist, 10 Pessimist (1-10): 5 – She is an idealist in that she believes not only are the Republic’s goals of defeating the Sith Empire and restoring peace possible, but that they are on the road to achieving them. However, she understands that the price that they will have to pay will be very high, and that many lives will be sacrificed along the way. She is willing to give an order that will get her own man hurt or killed, but only if it will save more lives in the long run, and expect her to be completely torn up about it.

- Likes: Patriotism towards the Republic, leading by example, putting oneself in danger for the greater good, honor, justice, tactical genius

- Dislike: Unnecessary violence, callous sacrifices, abuse of authority, collateral damage on civilians, poor tactical judgment

- Reaction to The Republic: Fanatically loyal – She is extremely loyal to the Republic ever since a Republic solider rescued her and her younger sister when the Empire sacked her homeworld and killed her family when she was only 8. And has dedicated her life towards defending the country and it’s principles against all those that seek to destroy it.    

- Reaction to The Empire: Hostile – She views the Empire as an aggressive and dangerous threat to the Republic that cannot be trusted, bargained, or negotiated with due to their fundamental goal of galactic conquest. On an individual level, she is skeptical of any light-sided Imperials, since in her view, any Imperial that truly seeks peace should either defect or surrender to the Republic, instead of continuing to enable the Empire as it currently exist    

- Archetype: The typical heroine in works of military science fiction (Starship Troopers, Halo, Command & Conquer, Gaunt's Ghosts, etc), a frontline military officer that puts great emphasizes on martial values such as bravery, sacrifice, duty, camaraderie, brotherhood, etc.

PROS AND CONS

- What is appealing about her to others? : She is a highly moral and strong-willed person that will rather die then to give up on the principles that she believes in, no matter how dire the situation might be. As a soldier that is constantly put into mortal danger (and without the protection of the Force like the Jedi), the temptation is always there to put pragmatism ahead of your own ideals. But in her mind, there are certain lines must never be crossed, certain tactics never be employed, even in a desperate war for national survival.     

- What is unappealing about her to others? : To others that don’t share her loyalty towards the Republic, she can appear to be overly patriotic at times. Furthermore, she is pathologically unable to not give assistance people asking her for it (especially children that appears to be helpless), even to her own detriment. Finally, when presented with the option to potentially save other people’s lives by putting herself at risk, she will take that option, even if it might not be militarily rational (As a SpecOps operative, economically speaking her life is more valuable then a small platoon of regular troops or a dozen civillians).
